The Craft Club has started the new school year with some exciting new projects
which will run alongside our traditional activities of beadwork, sewing and
knitting. The photographs show a member of Year 8 demonstrating how to make
decorative pom poms, and we will also be experimenting with cross stitch and
other forms of embroidery.
We are still producing knitted blankets made
from the squares produced by members of the craft club and our team of dedicated
supporters from the wider community. Sr McDonnell and the other ladies in La
Fosse have been especially busy and we have been able to send many blankets to
AIDS orphans in
South
Africa. In addition, over the summer, we
delivered a beautiful selection to the residents of Emmaus House in
Winchester, a hostel for
the homeless, who sent a lovely message of thanks.
Keep knitting!
