Think Tank Speakers 2011 - 2012

• Sophia Bennett - award winning children's author gave a series of workshops and a lunchtime talk
• Dr Tabitha Innocent - from Sense About Science gave a talk and workshop
• Dr Matthew Nicholls - gave a Classics talk on 'Bread and Circuses'.
• Steven Kasamba - a master drummer from Uganda who led a series of workshops on African Drumming followed by a lunchtime concert (www.acdarts.com)
• Dr Maryhan Baker - who gave a workshop on Forensic Psychology and Eye-Witness Testimony
• Carl Lyons - illustrator who has worked with Disney, Warner Bros and more

Think Tank Events 2011 - 2012

• EU Debate - Sixth Formers took part in a debate and voted on the motion “The costs of EU outweigh the benefits”, with two guest speakers presenting their opposing views.

We enjoyed a range of speakers, workshops and visits from the following in reverse chronological order:

• House of Lords Trip - at Baroness Sharp's invitation, the Lower Sixth were treated to a tour of the House
• Out of the Blue (before they were famous!) - Oxford University's all male a capella group
• Grace Huxford - Farnborough Hill old girl and Post Graduate History student
• Theresa Breslin - award winning children's author
• Boris Rankov - Classics professor at Royal Holloway, University of London
• Bishop Richard Moth - Bishop to the Forces
• Baroness Sharp - a member of the House of Lords
• Alex Longmore - a fashion stylist
