Iceland - Land of Fire & Ice - October 2009
The Geography Department and 24 students were lucky enough to visit the land of fire and ice over October half term. The trip proved a fantastic experience for all involved with the opportunity to see a varied landscape including, waterfalls, glaciers, geysers, ice caps, sea arches and even the opportunity to stand on two different tectonic plates! The highlight of the trip was the Northern Lights which proved to be a magical experience for all those brave enough to withstand the freezing temperatures!
