A level History at Farnborough Hill is a fascinating blend of topics from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It combines an investigation into the evolving communist societies of China and Russia/Soviet Union with a study of three of Great Britain's most famous Prime Ministers - Churchill, Gladstone and Disraeli. There is even the option of following your own interests for one of your coursework units in the Upper Sixth.

| Module 3 | Coursework based module - produce 2 pieces of coursework of 2000 words each The first piece investigates Gladstone and Disraeli - Britain's most famous Victorian prime ministers. The second piece is a free choice for you to make in consultation with your teacher. In the past students have studied topics including the Black Death, Henry VIII, Adolf Hitler and the Miners Strike of the 1980s. |

Assessment
- Exams can be taken in January and June and each module can be taken twice. We use the January session purely for resits.
- The exams last 1 hour 30 minutes and are essays, structured questions or document questions.
- The coursework is completed by the end of April in Year 13.
