Hampshire Book Award GroupHampshire Book Award
During the Summer Term a group of 12 keen year 8 readers are invited to read the 6 shortlisted books nominated for the Hampshire Book Award. The group meet regularly to discuss the books and a vote is taken to find out the group's favourite. Our school's votes are added to those of other schools throughout the County at a special voting morning in Winchester.

World Book Day - 1 March 2012
World Book Day is a worldwide celebration of books and reading and is usually celebrated at Farnborough Hill with some special book-related activities for example in 2010, there was a quiz and book sale and in 2009 staff were photographed reading their favourite books and these were made into posters which were displayed around the school.

Book Clubs
The Library runs a junior and senior book club at lunch-times. During club meetings students get to chat about the books they are reading in an informal and relaxed environment, play games and get involved with current developments in the Library.
