February 2012
Message from: Leslie Duckworth and Sarah Jones
Year of 1970, year of 1968 for early leavers. We have a plan...
A pilgrimage with a difference. Would any of you like to join us on the Spanish Camino to Santiago de Compostella?
It seemed fitting to celebrate our 60th with a combination of Catholic nostalgia, gentle exercise, long-lost friends and hopefully good wine and food. Is this whetting anyone's appetite? Recognising we are all in different states of fitness and decrepitude with only limited time for holiday, we are proposing a five-day/six night walk from Sarria to Santiago with the Pilgrim's Mass on Sunday 23 September 2012. We have been exploring various options - medium and economy packages which would take care of transportation of bags, overnight accommodation etc. We really hope that many of you are excited at the prospect of hanging out with old girls.... It will be an experience if nothing else. We are open to suggestions and ideas.
Please let us know if you are interested and please, please spread the word to anyone in our year that you are still in touch with.
Please send emails c/o Sarah Bunch (fhoga@farnborough-hill.org.uk) so they can be forwarded on to Leslie Duckworth and Sarah Jones.
NB This event is organised by private individuals and is not organised by Farnborough Hill or the FHOGA Committee.
