Half Energy Day

Half Energy Day 2012Farnborough Hill Sixth Form and Mrs Chapman organised a  HALF ENERGY DAY (HED) on 28 March 2012.  This followed on from the previous years' very successful Half Energy Days.  They aimed to raise energy awareness in the minds of young people and to encourage responsibility for the use of energy and natural resources to help safeguard the future.  Students dressed up as animals and raised funds for CAFOD and World Wildlife Fund.  Pictured are winners of the Animal Costume Competition. 

Last year we planted trees for Half Energy Day.  Each year group contributed towards a flowering cherry which was planted close to the entrance of the school.  A planting ceremony took place in March 2011 - see pictures below:
