Retreat Week

Retreat in Prayer RoomAn important event in the school year is Retreat Week. It is usually run by the SPEC Team and each year group (years 7 - 11) is off timetable for one day.  During 2011 - 12, the SPEC Team are taking a year off running school retreats but Retreat Week will take place as usual with a team of leaders including Steve Murray - international Christian Mime Artist and Sophie Crisp - former student.

Retreat Week at Farnborough Hill is always an enjoyable, lively and thoughtful week, bringing the students of each year group together to sing, reflect, share, pray, meditate and have time together. The students are lead in times of prayer, activities, role play, drama, art and discussion. The sessions are thought-provoking, challenging and often entertaining, and offer the girls the chance to look at issues that may face them in their own lives or in the lives of others. They are presented with the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God and with others while also being offered the chance to reflect about themselves.
