The department offers courses to all students in Years 7 to 9, that enable them to experience a range of focused tasks and context driven projects in a selection of the four areas of Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles. In order to maximise the teaching time available within each subject area, the pupils are taught on a carousel system.
Students may opt to study examination courses at GCSE in Design & Technology: Resistant Materials and Food Preparation and Nutrition. We offer A/AS level courses in the areas of Design & Technology: Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphic Communication and Home Economics: Food, Nutrition & Health.
