Extracurricular Drama

The Drama Department is extremely busy and provides many extracurricular activities which are very popular with the students.  Opportunities include:

  • Lunch-time and after school drama clubs for different year groups culminating in performance.
  • Touring theatre companies performing and running workshop activities in school.
  • The annual School Production involving students from all year groups taking part as actors, designers, technicians including lighting, sound, properties, make-up, stage management and backstage crew.  Each year is a unique and an unforgettable experience for the company and the audience.
  • Theatre visits to the West End as well as local theatres.
  • Trinity Drama Examinations with extracurricular lessons from a peripatetic Drama teacher.  Grades awarded from 1 to 8 and Grade 5 and above are accredited for UCAS.  Results in these examinations are always impressive.
  • Radio Station broadcast training - we have our very own popular radio station, ‘F’hill Radio’, which broadcasts to the school throughout the week and is run by the Sixth Form.  Training includes a day for the students with Eagle Radio 96.4 FM at the beginning of each academic year.
