Languages at Farnborough Hill

Modern Foreign Languages are taught to all students from Year 7 onwards.  Initially the girls choose to study either French or Spanish and can choose to take either of these languages in Year 9.  German may appear as an option should there be sufficient interest.  At GCSE they all study at least one language but can choose to study two.  All three languages are studied at A level depending on the level of interest.  Native speaking language assistants provide one to one conversation with the students and really help with their fluency in the languages.

Trips Abroad

We try to give the girls the opportunity to visit Germany, France or Spain through exchange visits and cultural home-stay trips.  Recent trips have taken the girls to Munich, Nice and Granada.
