YEAR 9 CAMPING TRIP

Friday 26th June, 2009

The whole of Year 9 went on an exciting camping trip to Kent on Monday and Tuesday this week.  They stayed at Treejumpers - an outdoor activity centre and took part in a variety of challenges including high ropes, climbing, orienteering and archery.  Over the two days the girls soon overcame their nerves as they tackled activities which required them to walk and climb across beams and wires - all suspended high up in the tree tops.  Their confidence grew and they felt a great sense of achievement as they conquered their fears and pushed themselves further than they thought they could go.

The girls also thoroughly enjoyed the whole camping experience.  Entertainment around the campfire in the evening was in the form of a talent show and what a talented group they are.  The activity centre staff were hugely impressed with their enthusiasm and the quality of their performances.

Thank you to Mrs Brophy, Head of Year 9, for organising this fantastic trip.
