WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
18TH – 25TH JANUARY 2010
The theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity this year is “Witness”, and it was this theme that encouraged six students and a member of staff to share something of their own Christian faith with the whole school at assembly today. Their sharing was personal, honest and genuine, and it was clear that their fellow students and staff were listening with interest. Our assembly also included reflective music, prayers, the lighting of candles and singing. It was a gentle and moving assembly that placed Christianity in an intimate and personal setting, whilst reminding us of the world-wide presence of the Christian Church.
Friends and family are invited to join with us this week as we reflect on the material presented to us by the Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
